| I finally have two dahlia plants growing in front of my house. Something I've been wanting for a few years now. While pruning the plant yesterday, I accidentally broke this flower off. Oops! Guess I have to shoot it... Isn't it written somewhere that there is no such thing as an accident?

They are so deliciously beautiful. Okay, back to work!
| Meet Frumpy, Lumpy, Bumpy and Bob...my new pets. My first real macro project. I plan to make a series out of these, here's the first set, titled:
Animal Cribs

You Like? Just so everyone knows...there was no actual furniture (regular or miniature) used in the making of these photographs and no photoshop either aside for some color correction. I did not super impose the animals anywhere.
| I'm way behind on blogging! I had the great honor of being present for Anthony's adoption in Santa Barbara on July 25th and it was a very happy day for everyone there. Congratulations to the beautiful Sales-Beardsley family!

And I couldn't end this blog without showing everyone the crooked neck giraffe at the Santa Barbara Zoo!

| So much happened last weekend! 1) As usual my husband kicks ass. He bought me the Canon Fisheye (15mm f2.8) lens. It's only the lens I've been drooling over for the last few months. I love walking into a camera store and buying a brand spanking new lens. When I got it home I tested it out on my favorite subjects:

2) I finally got hit with a board. I knew it would happen, I just didn't think it would bitch slap me. It was worth it though, it always is.
3) AND finally, I shot some kick ass stuff for Industry Boardshop, (some of the coolest doods on the planet). I had a pretty amazing time. I met some awesome people, AND made friends. Yes, me, the master of anti-social. (shut up Mandie)

| I had a fantastic time shooting Anya & Sean's wedding on Saturday. It was a beautiful ceremony performed by the bride's father and I cried as they exchanged vows. There were so many details with special meaning from Anya's necklace, to her pearl bracelet, to the handmade roses on each table. Even funnier is that Anya is a makeup artist who was doing everyone else's makeup! Their family & friends were really cool, and their wedding coordinator Percy Sales Events arranged a lovely event, so if you're a future bride, you need to call him, he's GREAT!!!
